Avraham?! Who is Avraham?!? That is the Ramban’s question at the start of parshas lech lecha when suddenly, without any intorduction to who Avraham is (unlike re Noach) it says ‘And HaShem said to Avraham ‘lech lecha…’ Why did he merit this calling from HaShem? Answers the sfas emes ‘HaShem was calling to everyone. It was Avraham though who decided to listen to the call. …And how many times is HaShem calling out to us today and we do not bother to listen?
