Keeping the fire burning

After Aharon was commanded to light the Menorah, the verse says “and he did so” (8:3). Rashi explains that we are being told that he faithfully carried out this Mitzvah without any changes. Why would we think otherwise? The Sfat Emet explains that it is natural to initially become excited about something yet after some time to lose the enthusiasm. The praise of Aharon was that every day he lit the Menorah with the same enthusiasm as before, even after many years.   We can learn from Aharon to try and do mitzvot, even those that we do regularly, with a renewed amount of enthusiasm.
