At Har Sinai, the Bnei Yisrael ‘roim at hakolot’, saw the sounds. Rashi explains that the Bnei Yisrael saw what normally could only be heard. It was a miracle. Rav Moshe Feinstein explains that the Bnei Yisrael had such clarity of H’s existence using the Torah as their guide. It is this level of clarity that we must strive for, and strive to transmit to the future generations .(Heard from Rabbi Guttentag)
