"... You shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!" Devarim 25:17-19
The word Amalek - עמלק has a gematria (numerical value) of 240, Similarly the word Safek – ספק Also has a gematria of 240. The word Safek means doubt or uncertainty. Within us we all have doubts and uncertainties, whether it be in our Emunah (faith) or trust in HaKadosh BaruchHu. Amelek put in us these doubts. They attacked us and spiritually held us back – standing as a barrier between us reaching Sinai (G-d).
Within us we have a Yatzer Hara, which in effect does the same thing as Amelek, it places within us doubts about spiritual pursuits, “why daven your prayers will never be answered anyway?” The Yatzer hara may say

So with the commandment to blot out the memory of Amelek so should we Blot out the memory of our Yatzer Hara and our own Safekim and have complete fait and trust in Hashem!
Hope for the Lord, be strong and He will give your heart courage, and hope for the Lord. Tehillim 27:14
With the above passage we should defeat our yetzer Hara and Hashem will give us the courage to challenge our doubts and uncertainties.
May the name of Amelek be wiped out from all of us!! AMEN .
