"And Hashem said to Moshe 'Gather seventy men of the elders of Israel, who you know to be elders and police...'" (Bamidbar 11:16). Rashi says that these seventy men were chosen as the "elders of Israel" because they were the Jewish police in Egypt who willingly bore the brunt of labor and lashes given by the Egyptians, instead of their fellow Jews!!
This Rashi can teach us all a vital lesson, as it says in Pirkei Avos 6:6 that we should all "participate in the burden of one’s fellow"
