ezri m’im HaShem; divine help

Written by D Fine

If you look in the part of the sedra in which eliezer goes off to find a wife for yitzchak, you will notice that the name of HaShem is mentioned in conversation an abnormally great amount of times (specifically, see 24;49-52). Why is this?
To teach us that HaShem is the One behind selecting and finding our marriage partners with whom we match and can gel with.
“Ezri (my help) me’im HaShem” – also explained to mean my ezer (ie ezer kenegdo; the phrase describing Chavah, and one’s wife in general) is from HaShem.

(heard on a R Krohn tape).
