The possuk says “ViNasati Mishkani Bisochachem Vlo Sigal Nafshi Eschem” “I will place my Beis HaMikdash among you, and my soul will not spit you out.” Ramban asks, is this the reward that Klal Yisroel will receive for keeping the Mitzvos?
They will benefit not being spat out and rejected by Hashem?
Is their toil in Mitzvos only worth not being the recipient of Hashem’s wrath? The Sforno explains that the end of the pasuk is connected to the beginning. “ViNasati Mishkani Bisochachem” –
when I will place my 3rd Bais HaMikdash among you, it will not be like the others where you sinned and it was destroyed; rather “Vlo Sigal Nafshi Eschem” – you will not sin LiAsid Lavo and my soul will not reject you.
